I remember during my second year of university I hit an extreme low point. I felt completely alone and directionless and became severely depressed.
I thought I was suffering from an early-onset, mid-life crisis.
Something similar happened again in my mid-30’s and my life path changed drastically.
Isn’t this stuff supposed to happen in your 40’s?
Well, typically it does. And it did for me, too. But in my 40’s I was mentally and emotionally prepared for any “mid-life crisis” because I had started to understand the larger forces at work in my life.
In this episode of Beyond the Veil, I get to talk about what’s going on behind the scenes of some of our biggest life transitions.
Did you know most of us experience a 7-year cycle throughout our lives?
Approximately every seven years, most of us undergo a significant life transition. Sometimes it’s dramatic and traumatic. Other times, it’s more subtle and we only recognize it in hindsight.
And here’s the kicker: there are two very significant milestones in this 7-year cycling: one for women and one for men.
Hopefully, just becoming aware of this cycle will help you understand your own life a bit better and help you experience any future transition periods with more grace and ease.
When I first learned about these large cycles at work in our lives, it really helped me understand my past and prepare for my future. I trust it will do the same for you.
