The Ownership of the Speaker/ Reader

I have written this post to draw your attention to the fact as Mediums/Speakers/Healers and Readers have a responsibility to ensure that all messages are suitable for their sitters and give support and understanding.
Anyone who attends a spiritual service or mediumship event hopes that they will receive a message from a loved one, it’s a place where they go to find comfort, upliftment and reassurance to help with times of sadness or just because they need to feel close to people they have lost.
Some people go out of curiosity others go to see a particular Medium or Healer depending on their own personal needs. It’s a place where people from all walks of life, young and old go to seek comfort, hope for news of a friend or loved one. The message can help them with progression or just to make it easier to get out of bed just knowing that someone else knows and understands their loss.

However, as with any gift or knowledge it comes with great responsibility as a speaker we all need to remember that words have meanings and to deliver a message it should be given gently and with due care. Not everyone wants Tom Cobble and all knowing their personal business the same way if a young girl sitting in an audience possibly next to family and is told of a loss of a baby can cause more harm than good. Messages if of a personal nature should be carefully and delicately approached even if you sure of the outcome as professional’s discretion should always be the middle name. Perhaps as a suggestion the speaker could say that if the person has a few minutes at the end of the service they could then have a private word.

I have sat in services and listen to one poor woman being told her dad and mum was back together and she did not even know her father. The poor woman told the speaker that her mother hated her father with advengence as he was a wife beater and a hardened drinker. It was probably the worse outcome for everyone. In the same audience the speaker then went and scared an elderly lady say if she found her aunt on the floor of the hall and she been there for 10 minutes not breathing she was probably dead. Both remarks in my opinion were rude and unkind and not at all appropriate for a church setting let alone a village hall.
It’s a real shame because people who give these types of messages are doing more damage than good. A good Medium/Speaker provides proof without causing distress. Of course there are ways of providing proof without causing pain and suffering to those who came to be up lifted and could end up going home more depressed then when they arrived.

Not all Mediums are the same there are lots of really good nice people who honestly try to give hope and comfort it’s a real shame that some are making it worse.

It also good to know that the ISM is aware of this and is teaching up and coming Mediums/Readers with training to ensure that gifts are used wisely and provide good and caring messages for those who are looking for peace and guidance and don’t end up frustrated and upset because of some remark made without thinking through the consequences.
